III. Talk: Erhu Classics by the Jiangnan Blinded

Hua Yanjun (A Bing)'s "Er Quan Ying Yue" (The moon over a fountain) and Sun Wenming's "Liu Bo Qu" are masterpieces of Chinese folk instrument music.  The two musicians made a significant contribution to Chinese Erhu art and become the life and soul of Chinese folk music in the last century.  Both Hua and Sun were from Jiangnan and both lived a miserable life being blind. d on traditional folk music, their works bewail their bitter lives which resonate with the audience of all times.  In this lecture, Ms Shao Lin, the disciple of Sun Wenming from the Jiangnan area, will speak on the similarities and differences in the performances and artistic achievements of the two folk musicians.
